Chunky Fjolskylda Lopi-Style Yarn | Taupe

Our lopi-style yarn takes full advantage of our Icelandic sheep's dual-coated fleece. The yarn is not plied, but more like a roving with a slight twist - creating an airier, warmer knit.

Our taupe lopi-style yarn comes from our ram Stewart and lamb Halla - creating what we are calling Fjölskylda, or family-style yarn. Brown, cream and black strands gives the yarn depth. This yarn takes advantage of the strength of the ewe's tog (outercoat) and eliminates some of the pickiness with the softness of the lambswool. Compare our lopi-style with commercial brands!

This wool is undyed and in its natural color. Our sheep are raised on a grass-fed diet in Door County, WI. We don't use insecticides on their fleeces.
